Graduate Certificate in Biblical Studies
The Graduate Studies Certificate (GSC) is a 30-hour program designed for individuals seeking to establish a basic foundation in Bible and theology. Upon completion students receive a Certificate of Completion. All students in good standing have the option of applying the coursework done for the Certificate toward other Master degree programs.
By providing an understanding of the Scriptures and systematic theology, followed by the integration of this knowledge with modern strategies for ministry, the program seeks to provide the capabilities needed for ministry and personal growth. Evaluation skills, as well as effective written and verbal expression, are emphasized. The student is expected to attain comprehension of a foundational framework of biblical and theological truths, a commitment to a lifestyle based on Christian character, and capabilities in research and communication that are critical in ministry.
As a result of this program, students will learn how to determine the will of God in career choices; an understanding of the basic tenets of the Christian life and ministry; and a familiarization with the foundational units of Bible, theology, and strategies for world missions.
