Founded in 1920, the University of St. Francis was names for St. Francis of Assisi. Soon this Catholic, Franciscan University became a leader in adult education in the community. Today the University provides education opportunities through its five academic divisions: College of Arts and Sciences, College of Business College of Education, College of Nursing and Allied Health and College of Professional Studies.
Academics
The University of St. Francis launched its first online program 1997. Soon the MBA program was offered entirely online with several concentration options. Currently the University offers numerous online learning opportunities to its students.
Undergraduate online programs include Bachelor of Science in Nursing - Fast Track Option for Registered Nurses, B.S. in Health Care Leadership, B.S. in Organizational Leadership, and B.S. in Management. Among the graduate degrees offered online are the following: M.S. in Training Development with several concentrations available in Management, Learning Technology, Client-Centered Consulting, Health Services, and Business Administration; MBA, M.S. in Management, M.S. in Health Administration and M.S. in Nursing.
Moreover, the University has plenty of Online Graduate Certificate programs including such areas of concentration as Client Centered Consulting, Learning Technology, Logistics, Management of Training and Development, Teaching in Nursing, and Training Specialist. Finally, the University of St. Francis Solutions Resource Center developed a partnership with The Center for Legal Studies to offer six Certificate Courses which can be pursue either on-campus or entirely online via Internet. The Certificate Courses include Legal Secretary, Alternate Dispute Resolutions, Legal Investigation, Legal Nurse Consultant, Paralegal, and Victim Advocacy.
