University Canada West mixes rigorous academics and an active social setting to create the preferable student experience. University provides modern program options with proven academic quality to provide wide range of choices for post-secondary education.It is a private university with undergraduate and graduate degrees available. The academic programs are authorized by the Province Minister of Advanced Education by recommendation of the Degree Quality Assessment Board.
AcademicsUniversity Canada West is an independent university that offers the MBA, BCom and BA degrees. The University has a blended model of teaching with online and on-campus programs, catering to students who are interested in an enhanced form of learning. UCAN offers Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Arts and MBA degrees. The academic year is organized in five eight-week terms. Students are able to complete four courses of 40 hours each in each term. Degree Completion and MBA programs can be completed on campus or online.
AdmissionsUniversity Canada West accepts applications from Canadian and International Students. New students must apply and receive confirmation of admission before registering in courses.
Financial AidStudent loans are available to permanent Canada residents with financial need. The Government of Canada tries to ensure all Canadians have the opportunity to attend post-secondary school and obtain the skills and knowledge they need to participate in the workforce.
Provincial student loans are available to permanent residents of British Columbia. Student must qualify for a Federal student loan in order to apply for a Provincial loan. Loan will be paid by the provincial government only for full time school attenders, the repayment of the full loan must begin six months after the end of the studies.
High school students are eligible for scholarships ranging in value from $1,000 to $25,000. More than 500 scholarships will be awarded to the students who meet the criteria.
