Tennessee Temple University is a distinctively Christian liberal arts institution of higher education that prepares students for lives of leadership and service. It was founded in 1946, and it has a passion for challenging students academically and encouraging them to grow in their faith. Temple believes in education that is powered by the perfect fusion of passion and purpose. The University balances a traditional liberal arts program with a historical Baptist position regarding doctrine and conduct.

Tennessee Temple University is able to provide a Christ-centered education to a diverse population of national and international students. Our dedicated Christian professors, who integrate the knowledge of their respective fields with a biblical perspective, are ready to teach you. The undergraduate University curriculum is built on a foundation of Bible courses for all students, a basic program of general studies and several major fields of concentration, preparing the student for leadership in ministry, business, education, liberal arts and sciences or for graduate studies.

The main goal of the University is to provide the services and environment necessary to assist its students in achieving their educational goals and enhancing their spiritual, social and physical development. And these include academic support and technical services that assist the students in achieving their goals; administrative services that support students, faculty and staff; and an environment that is conducive to learning.

As for financial aid, 90% of Temple students receive it. Temple's tuition is a highly competitive value for a quality Christian education. On average, Temple students receive $9,000 in financial assistance including: grants, scholarships, work-study jobs, and loans.

Our programs include biblical studies, business administration, sign language interpreting, education, and psychology. The University offers you to choose your program and earn it online from your favorite chair or virtually anywhere.

TTU was a rewarding experience. I had the opportunity to serve as a resident assistant and prayer leader while I was there. Although some people felt that the rules were confining, they were easily explained and understood. The faculty was one of the greatest things about the school. They were encourageing and always praying for the students. Over all my experience at TTU was wonderful...there were bad things at times..but it was where the Lord had me and He used this time to change my life completely!!!

Though ther are things in every school that could be improved upon my overall expereince at Temple was great. I really enjoy the students that the school attracted and most of the staff was great. Temple is a great place to start if you are looking to get grounded and from what I have heard and seen there are many changes for the good happening at the school! I really encourage you to check it out but Temple is not for everyone. You just have to choose the school that is right for you.

College at TTU was a wonderful experience. I loved it. Students should remember that there are not any perfect colleges in existence and dealing with the ups and downs is just part of life. My major was sign language interpreting and my professors were very knowledgable and experienced. I was fully prepared to get a job as an interpreter which I did right after graduating. Going to school at TTU will obviously stretch you academically and spiritually, but I would absolutely recommend it. Also, TTU has one of the best 4 year programs in sign language interpreting. Check it out.
