Schiller International University is a private American university with seven campuses in six countries. Campuses are located in Paris and Strasbourg, France; Heidelberg, Germany; Madrid, Spain; London, England; Largo, Florida and Leysin, Switzerland. Founded in 1964 by Dr. Walter Leibrecht as a study abroad program for Americans in Germany, it now provides undergraduate and graduate education to students from over 100 countries. The University is unique in that it gives students the opportunity to transfer from one campus to another, from one country to another, while remaining in the same university without loss of time or credit.
Schiller offers American Associate, Bachelors, and Masters degrees with the flexibility of starting a degree program in either September, January, or May/June. Schiller has designed a flexible program, which allows students to choose their own path of study. Under this system, Bachelor degrees, which normally take four years, can be completed in three calendar years. Moreover, now Schiller offers the MBA on-line for students who have already achieved their bachelor's degree and cannot travel to one of our campuses. Thanks to this, our honored and renowned university is accessible from anywhere in the world. Online programs are flexible and designed for students who work full-time, manage a family or are otherwise unable to attend campuses classes.
The main goal of the Schiller University is to educate the entire individual and to develop the student's ability to think creatively and critically, and to communicate well within an international context. Schiller provides students with the competencies they need for professional careers as well as for future academic study.
University offers students a variety of tuition and other institutional scholarships and grants based on academic merit and financial need.
In the United States, SIU is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools.
