Regis University, established in 1877 in Las Vegas, New Mexico, moved to Colorado in 1884. It trains individuals of all ages to take guidance roles and to make a positive impact in a developing society. Being within the Catholic and United States traditions, we are encouraged by the special Jesuit vision of Ignatius Loyola. This vision braves us to achieve the internal freedom to make bright choices. We are trying to provide value-focused undergraduate and graduate education, and to reinforce dedication to community service.
We encourage all members of the Regis community to study capably, think logically and critically, recognize and select personal standards of values, and be socially conscientious. We further promote the development of the skills and leadership capabilities essential for great professional work and contributions to the improvement and change of society.
Financial Aid
The Regis University Office of Financial Aid is dedicated to helping Regis students pay for their education. Most awards are based on financial need; nevertheless, a restricted amount of assistance is offered to students without need. Normally, half-time enrollment (6 credit hours per semester for undergraduate students and 3 credit hours for graduate students) is obligatory to qualify for financial assistance.
General kinds of college financial assistance include: Federal Pell Grant, College Opportunity Fund, Colorado Student Grant, and Federal Student loans.
Career Services
Career Services helps students with discovering their skills, interests and abilities in order to set educational and career objectives. They train students the process of collecting, understanding and utilizing job market information, and work toward raising student efficiency in conducting a job search operation.
Career Services presents listings of existing full- and part-time openings and facilitates an on-campus interviewing program that provides students and graduates with the opportunity to get initial interviews with major organizations through Regis CareerLink.
Career Services performs individual advising sessions and seminars on appropriate subjects such as resume preparation, interviewing skills, networking skills and getting ready for graduate school. Existing career information is presented in the Life Directions Resource Library. A multiplicity of online services, including online workshops further help students and graduates with job search and career development.
