Nazarene Bible College was the first Nazarene institution of higher education to offer electronically mediated course delivery and has been offering online education since 1998. As an early adopter in online education, NBC has one of the best online programs in the country and is looked upon as a leader in electronically delivered courses. NBC continues to lead the way in offering courses available to anyone-anytime-anywhere in the world.
It is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, and by the Commission on Accreditation of the Association for Biblical Higher Education.
Academics
In the traditional degree structure, a Bachelor of Arts in Ministry major can be taken in Bible and Theology, Christian Counseling (campus only), Christian Educational Ministries, Counseling for Christian Ministries (online only), Music Ministries, or Pastoral Ministries.
The Associate of Arts in Lay Ministries degree offers concentrations in Church Ministries, Christian Educational Ministries, Early Education Ministries, Music Ministries, and Women's Studies.
NBC has an open enrollment policy and individuals can begin classes year-round. New online classes start approximately every seven weeks. There are no campus requirements, as all online courses are considered to be classes in residence – complete your entire degree online.
Financial Aid
Nazarene Bible College offers financial aid in the form of grants, scholarships, loans, and employment. Federal aid includes the Pell Grant, Academic Competitiveness Grant, Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG), and Work-Study, as well as the Perkins Loan and Stafford Loan programs, which provide long-term, low interest loans. In addition, the college offers a limited number of scholarships that are institutionally funded.
