Founded in 1921, Modesto Junior College has since served community living on the California's Great Central Valley. The College offers several campus locations, namely East Campus, West Campus, and Westside Center. MJC is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges to award certificates and associate degree and approved by the State Department of Education for training veterans.


Academics
The College’s academic divisions include the following: Agriculture & Environmental Sciences; Allied Health and Family & Consumer Sciences Division; Arts, Humanities & Communications; Business, Behavioral & Social Sciences; Community & Economic Development; Literature & Language Arts; Physical, Recreation & Health Education; Public Safety; Science, Math & Engineering; and Technical Education.

In addition to numerous campus programs and fields of study, MJC offers online learning opportunities:
• Certificate in Supervisory Management in Public Safety
• AA/AS in Administration of Justice (Law Enforcement or Corrections concentration)

The Administration of Justice programs are available both online and as traditional degree/certificate programs. Online options provide busy working professionals or those who seek to become one with flexibility and convenience of distance education.

I graduated from Modesto Junior College with my Associate degree and transferred to Stanislaus State University. MJC prepared me very well for university studies and life. At least in history, political science, psychology, philosophy, and English, the instructors were very progressive and highly intelligent and very helpful.
