Blackhawk Technical College offers more than 300 flexible and captivating courses. Each course comes with a patient and caring instructor, lively discussions with your fellow students, and plenty of practical information that you can put to immediate use. The faculty includes some of the most well known and trusted names in online education.
Students can take all of the online courses from the comfort of their home or office at times that are most convenient to them. These non-credit courses are taken through Education to Go, a division of Thompson Learning, a highly regarded leader in educational services. A new section of each course starts monthly. All courses run for six weeks and are composed of 12 lessons, representing 24 or more hours of instruction. Courses are project-oriented and include lessons, quizzes, hands-on assignments, discussion areas, supplementary links and more. The lessons are available 24 hours a day, every day. Participants can ask questions and give or receive advice at any time during the course. Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to download a handsome certificate of completion.

Requirements
All courses require Internet access, email, Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer. Some courses may have additional requirements.
Cost
Most courses cost $99.00 each. All payments must be made online with a major credit card.
In order to get started, an applicant should:
1. Visit the Online Instruction Center
2. Click on the Orientation link and follow the instructions to choose, enroll and pay for the course. During orientation, an applicant will learn important information about the course chosen. He or she will also be provided an opportunity to choose the name and password to be used foraccessing thecourse. The orientation must be completed at least two days prior to the start of the class.
3. When the course starts, an applicant should return to the Online Instruction Centerand click the Classroom link. To begin the studies, he or she simply logs in with the name and password selected during orientation.
