Associates Degree in Medical Coding
The Associate in Medical Coding concentration prepares students for careers in the ever-changing medical records profession. Medical coders read and review medical documentation provided by healthcare providers in order to obtain detailed information regarding diseases, injuries, surgical operations, and other medical procedures. This detailed information must then be translated into numeric codes for reporting purposes.
