Wright State University was founded in 1964. Firstly it was originally the Dayton branch campus of both the Ohio State University and Miami University. A 1965 act of the Ohio General Assembly created the university. Several names were considered. But at last Wright State University was eventually chosen to honor the Wright Brothers. They were natives of Dayton.
WSU offers a wide variety of degrees and programs in diverse areas of study. Wright State includes ten different colleges and schools, including the University College, which focuses on advising, tutoring, learning services, testing, and orientation. Other colleges include the Raj Soin College of Business, the School of Medicine, the College of Engineering & Computer Science, and the School of Science & Mathematics.
Bachelor’s degrees are awarded in a number of different disciplines, some degrees may be earned online. Also following Master’s degree programs may be earned through distance learning from Wright State University: Family Nurse Practitioner, Human Factors Engineering, Teacher Leader Program, Rehabilitation Counseling and Master of Information Systems degree program.
WSU’s Online classes can be taken entirely online from your home, school, office, etc. Most Web-online classes follow the conventional start/finish schedule.
