Western Wyoming Community College, also known as WWCC, is a two-year college located in Rock Springs, Wyoming, United States. It was founded in 1959. In 1960-61, the College moved to Reliance, five miles from Rock Springs. The College was granted accreditation by the North Central Association in April, 1976. Between the Fall of 1987 and Fall of 1988, a new student commons area, classrooms and labs, offices, Children’s Center, studios, and theatre were occupied. Construction of a fifth residence hall was approved in December, 1994, and completed in August, 1997.
The school tries to provide students with lots of choices, and does not tend to focus on only a few programs of study. The college offers a variety of certificates, associate degree, and selected four-year degree programs in collaboration with the University of Wyoming in Laramie. WWCC also offers distance learning through online courses and programs. Western Wyoming Community College offers associates degree and certificates via the distance learning.
WWCC’s campus is home to several student clubs and organizations. Among them are the Baptist Collegiate Ministry, Phi Theta Kappa, and Omega Radio Club. Also college is a home to various sports teams. The teams compete in men's basketball, women's basketball, men's soccer, women's soccer, wrestling, and women's volleyball.
