University of the Sciences in Philadelphia is a private, comprehensive, co-educational university in Philadelphia. It is located in the University City section of Philadelphia, a tree-lined residential area that is also home to the University of Pennsylvania and Drexel University. More than 45,000 college students live in University City. The campus comprises 21 buildings, athletics fields, and gardens, situated on 35 acres.

Student ActivitiesUSP provides a balanced and well-organized athletic program, offering competition in 12 intercollegiate varsity sports. These teams compete against many Philadelphia-area colleges as well as colleges from New Jersey, New York,Connecticut and Delaware. University of the Sciences in Philadelphia encourages participation in athletics and recreation. The Athletic/Recreation Center was officially opened in August 2004. It features an 1,100-seat basketball arena and a recreation gymnasium, locker rooms, an indoor track; a swimming pool, meeting rooms and an aerobics and fitness center.
Financial AidUSP provides assistance to make this educational investment affordable for each student. University's financial aid program provides assistance in the form of scholarships and grants, loans and part-time employment for students whose resources are insufficient to meet the cost of education.
