The University of North Carolina at Pembroke provides a diversity of distance education opportunities and special activities that respond to the educational needs of students and serve the community and society at large by providing cultural and educational leadership.
As a rule, distance education students have family, work, and other responsibilities that may not allow them to travel to the campus frequently because of schedule, location, or time limitations. Distance education solves all these problems.
Our faculty members serve your learning needs and can be reached by email, fax, phone, or other web-based technologies. Most of your learning takes place at a place convenient for you – including your personal computer – although, depending on the program, you may be required occasionally to come to a location for an exam or laboratory exercise.
Continuing Education and Distance Education Department offers continuing education programs intended to meet the intellectual and cultural needs of on-campus and off-campus students. To realize this, the University makes available a diversified assortment of online classes, evening classes, early morning classes, week-end classes, degree-related extension classes, degree related extension programs, workshops, and a comprehensive summer program. Thanks to these programs our students may obtain professional achievement and personal development at times and locations convenient for them.
Financial Aid
The University of North Carolina at Pembroke offers Financial Aid for those who qualify. We help remove the financial obstacles for those who wish to get higher education by providing appropriate financial resources. Inherent in our work is the responsibility to help students manage college finances. Our mission is also to serve as a financial aid information resource for students, families, high schools and the community as a whole.
Admissions
UNCP has a rolling admissions policy, which means we will review applications and make decisions on a daily basis. Nevertheless, it is significant to remember that we do have a July 31st deadline for freshmen fall admission: July 15- Fall Semester; and December 1 - Spring Semester.
