The University of Central Missouri was founded in 1871 as a teacher's college. Nowadays, it offers 150 programs of study leading to an associate's degree, certificate, bachelor's degree, master's degree, education specialist degree, or cooperative doctorate. Admissions
To be admitted to UCM, freahmen need to have completed the 24-unit Missouri college-preparatory curriculum. Besides, they need either:
- a score of 21 or higher on the ACT and 2.0 GPA or 990 on the SAT I and 2.0 GPA or
- a Combined Percentile Index equal to or exceeding 100.
