Tennessee Tech University offers 44 bachelor's and 20 graduate degree programs within six academic divisions: Agricultural and Human Sciences, Arts and Sciences, Business, Education, Engineering, and Extended Education and Interdisciplinary Studies.

The student population at Tennessee Tech University is cosmopolitan in nature with students of White/Caucasian, African American, Asian/Pacific Islander, Hispanic, American Indian/Alaskan Native, and other origins . The University's campus is home to a number of fraternities and sororities including, Alpha Gamma Sigma, Phi Gamma Delta, Tau Kappa Epsilon, Omega Phi Alpha, Kappa Delta and Phi Mu.

Athletics
University's sports teams are called the Golden Eagles. The official mascot is the majestic Golden Eagle. Tennessee Technological University sponsors basketball, football, baseball, cross country, golf, tennis, rifle shooting, volleyball, softball and soccer.

Financial Aid
The Financial Aid Office helps students determine need and identify programs of financial aid that are appropriate to their specific needs. All tuition and fees are lower than the average among four year state universities in the region, and the education students receive here will be one of the soundest investments of their lifetime.
Nearly two-thirds of all students at Tennessee Tech receive some type of financial aid from a variety of sources such as federal, state, university, and private funds. Financial aid includes scholarships, grants, loans, student employment, and assorted other awards and benefits. Tennessee Technological University offers a variety of generous scholarships funded by  private donors and the university.
