Suffolk County Community College is the largest community college in the State University of New York (SUNY) system. It enrolls 22,000 students at its three campuses in Selden, Brentwood and Riverhead.
The main goal of this College is to prepare graduates to enter the work force in such marketable areas as medical records, physical therapist assistant, paralegal studies, culinary arts, graphic design, computer science, and heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration.
The intellectual discovery, physical development, social and ethical awareness, and economic opportunities for all through an education that transforms lives, builds communities, and improves society are things the College promotes. It offers programs and services that fulfill the educational needs of the residents of Suffolk County. And all of its curricula are registered by the New York State Department of Education.
SCCC provides a full range of services for students at each campus, including counseling/advising, career education, disability and health services, child care, student life and multicultural activities, performing arts activities, and athletics.
The College offers financial aid for its students. It awards over $250,000 a year in scholarships to new and continuing students. Assistance is always available in understanding the various financial aid programs and with the application itself. Our Financial Aid Help Center is also available to help you file your FAFSA electronically.
