CampusThe main campus includes 406 acres, part of the original homestead of Thomas J. Rusk, early Texas patriot and United States senator. In addition, the university maintains a 642-acre
agricultural research center for beef, poultry and swine production and an equine center; an 18.7-acre experimental forest in southwestern nacogdoches County and a 25.3-acre forestry field station on Lake Sam Rayburn.

Admission - Clear admission under which the student is eligible to work toward a graduate degree;
- Probationary admission under which the student is eligible to work toward a graduate degree but with the provision that the student earn a B average on course work the first semester or summer session of registration or be placed on academic suspension;
- Provisional admission under which an individual is permitted to take graduate courses for one semester only, under the provisions described below;
- Post-baccalaureate admission under which the student already holding a bachelor’s or master’s degree is eligible to take graduate courses but may apply only a limited number of these courses toward a graduate degree.
