Southern New Hampshire University was founded in 1932 by H.A.B. Shapiro as the New Hampshire School of Accounting and Secretarial Science. The university extended its reach worldwide with the launching of its Internet-based distance learning program, now known as SNHU Online, in 1995.
Nowadays the university is comprised of five schools: the School of Business, the School of Community Economic Development, the School of Education, the School of Liberal Arts and the School of Professional and Continuing Education. The new ways are sought in order to offer students quality educational programs both in the U.S. and abroad.
SNHU Online will help students go places—without leaving home.
This university is considered among the leading online-learning programs in New England, and it’s easy to see why. It offers a vast array of choices for starters: more than 50 accredited online degree and certificate programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels. It includes also a special partnership with the Navy that brings degrees within reach of military personnel.
Another benefit is the learning community. The online students and stellar faculty are go-getters from 24 different time zones, and classes are small. The university involves the responsive and student –centered support staff and provides students the online access to everything they need: advising, library resources, the bookstore, even tutoring. Students may get this all at the affordable cost.
