Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, Indiana, often called St. Mary's, is an unincorporated town in Sugar Creek Township in northwestern Vigo County, Indiana. Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College was founded by Saint Mother Theodore Guerin and the Sisters of Providence in 1840.

The Woods Online programs are taught through virtual classroom environment and interactive technology. The convenience of online learning is a great option for busy students, working professionals and parents. Student's weekly assignments can be completed any time and he/she will have 24/7 access to tutorials, videos and course materials. Individuals can study on their own schedule.

Tuition and Financial Aid
At SMWC, Financial Aid staff helps individuals find the resources they need to finance their education. Distance education students can take advantage of Stafford Loans, Federal Pell Grant and State Grants, as well as grants and scholarships from outside sources.
Almost all part-time and full-time students are eligible to receive financial aid benefits. They are eligible for financial assistance when they are enrolled in at least 6 credit hours of classes. A single Woods Online class at a time, or two Woods External Degree program classes will qualify you for part-time financial aid.
