Pittsburgh Technical Institute opened its door in 1946. PTI combines technical skills and professional know-how with career related general education to design associate degree and certificate offerings that meet employers’ needs. It creates a learning environment that encourages students to value each other’s differences and work together.
Curriculum is employer-driven; instruction is hands-on and project oriented. It is designed to give graduates the tools, the power and the confidence to succeed in the job market.

Admission
Freshmen are invited to apply for admission to Pittsburgh Technical Institute at any time. Applications are accepted for upcoming classes on a rolling basis. To offset the expense associated with college applications, PTI allows all students to apply at no cost.

Financial Aid
To make education possible for most, financial aid is available to students and their families. Financial aid falls into three primary categories: Grants, Scholarships and Loans. Additionally PTI supports a variety of student organizations through institutional scholarships.
