Financial Aid
Ottawa University takes part in a range of financial assistance programs, such as federal grants and loans, to help students with getting the essential funds to attend college. In general, there are three main types of financial aid available:

•    Grants-including the Federal PELL Grant program awarded annually.
•    Loans-obtainable to students through both federal and private-lending programs.
•    Additional Sources of assistance such as veteran's benefits, employer compensation and local scholarship programs.

We encourage you to arrange a meeting with the financial services representative at your campus to talk about specific programs for which you may qualify. Students interested in applying for assistance should start by filling out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) that can be done online. Students should apply early for assistance to make sure that funds are obtainable when required, as the application process can take up to six weeks.
