NAU Online Campus
Studies show that most Americans will change careers about seven times. In fact, lifelong learning, whether for personal enrichment or professional promotion, is almost routine. You have a great opportunity to search for programs offered at Online Campus.

At NAU Online Campus you can receive services, take classes, earn a degree, and benefit from the best NAU has to offer, right in your community. Quite a few of NAU's fully accredited programs can be completed entirely online.

With its solid reputation as a university with all the features of a large institution but with a personal touch, NAU carefully balances teaching, scholarship and service with a faculty and staff dedicated to each student’s success.

The focus is on undergraduate education, but you’ll also find a wide variety of graduate programs and research that extend to such national concerns as forest health and bio-terrorism. NAU has carefully integrated on-campus education with distance learning, forming seamless avenues for students to earn degrees.

Partnership
NAU has partnered with the Arizona Universities Network (AZUN). Through the vision of the Arizona Board of Regents, AZUN benefits students in Arizona and throughout the world by allowing access to flexible, convenient academic programs and faculty expertise from Arizona's premier state universities. AZUN lets students complete a variety of fully-accredited graduate or undergraduate online degrees and professional certification programs from Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University, and University of Arizona.

Accreditation
All Northern Arizona University programs are accredited through the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA).

I was an online student, majoring in Liberal Studies with a Humanities emphasis. The coursework was more rigorous than I expected (I had been away from college for 25+ years). The work wasn't that complicated, there was just a lot of it. I got more out of finishing my bachelors' than I expected. I was very pleased, on balance with NAU. Do stay away from the part-time instructors though.

Sometimes I wish I had gone somewhere else, but overall, I have really enjoyed NAU and recommend it to everyone. It definitely depends on what you want to study.

I loved NAU. If you want to get an excellent education while enjoying the outdoors its a great place to be. There are plenty of decent restaurants and night spots that are fun. If you are a couch potato or like the club scene, Flagstaff is probably not for you. I found the faculty and student body to be friendly and helpful. I met people from all over the world. The facilities at the school are excellent like the Natatorium and a terrific fitness center. NAU offers a wide variety of intramural activities, from Water Polo to Skiing. There are also a variety of interesting courses you can take. I took Geology field trips to Sedona, The Grand Canyon and to a local (dormant) Volcano. I can't think of another place where you can spend a weekend morning studying in the warm sun on the red rocks of Sedona (a half hour away) and return to ski at the Snow Bowl all in the same day. I went Spelunking in lava tubes and was home in time to study for my Political Science exam. I can't think of a better place to get an education while enjoying life to its fullest.

NAU’s Anthropology Department offers its students an academically stimulating environment coupled with a supportive community. It is rare to find so many talented scholars that are willing to share their time, expertise, and know how with their students. The professors are very committed to the education, development, and achievement of their students. The program thoroughly prepared me for my current Ph.D. program and I am very thankful for the combination of rigor and practicality that characterize the department. As I progress in my career, I often think of the skills that I depend on daily that, I learned as a student at NAU particularly in terms of professionalization. Attending NAU for my Master’s degree in Anthropology was one of the wisest choices that I have made in my academic career to date.

I graduated in 1999 and completed the applied cultural internship track focusing on how activism on tribal lands is impacted by cultural, social and political boundaries. During my internship, I helped Navajo community members set up a non-profit corporation that worked on land restoration and traditional farming. Bringing about social and environmental changes in policy and practice require a holistic outlook. My work at NAU prepared me to look at problems holistically and not through just one lens.
