James Madison University is a public coeducational research university located in Harrisonburg, Virginia, U.S. The University was founded in 1908 as the State Normal and Industrial School for Women at Harrisonburg. It had four names but it is the only university in America named for James Madison, the Father of the Constitution and fourth president of the United States.
