Hannibal-LaGrange is a four-year liberal arts college that was founded in 1858 in LaGrange, Missouri. It is fully accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The College strives to provide a strong educational experience, built upon a core of general education courses, offering baccalaureate and associate degrees in liberal arts and professional areas, for both traditional and non-traditional students.
HLG is affiliated with the Missouri Baptist Convention (Southern Baptist), that’s why, many of our students are Baptist, most other denominations are represented on campus.
More than 30 majors on the baccalaureate level are offered at Hannibal-LaGrange. Moreover, it offers several preprofessional programs on the associate level, including preengineering. Gifted and highly motivated students can find here an honors program.

The College also offers online programs designed specifically for working adults. It this way, it prepares students for personal and career effectiveness. Most of our online courses are 3-credit hour courses that are taken in an eight-week term. This online option provides adult learners with an opportunity to advance their education and career at their own convenience.
The admissions staff is ready to assist students as the staff always deals with prospective students on a one-on-one basis, and takes the time to answer individual questions.
