Founded in 1972, Granite State College provides flexibility, value and state-wide accessibility to higher education throughout New Hampshire. It is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. The College offers associate and bachelor degrees, post-baccalaureate programs for teacher education, transfer opportunities, and 100% online degree programs.

The main goal of Granite State College is to provide innovative programs and flexible scheduling making it possible to balance responsibilities such as work and family while earning a college degree. Thus, it is easy with the associate and bachelor degree programs to enhance students' professional credentials, or expand their knowledge.

The College offers students to Online Interactive Courses (OICs) taking which will require at least as much time as a traditional course, although it is delivered in a more flexible way. When taking them students will work at their own pace and organize their time to meet assignment deadlines, access their course via the internet to communicate via email, chat, and other electronic methods, participate in a dynamic learning environment with students from across New Hampshire and beyond.

Online programs provide the flexibility to complete students' work from wherever they have access to the World Wide Web - at any time of the day or night. Students experience a highly supportive environment for learning and are active participants in an online community. The online degrees are accredited by the New England Association of Schools & Colleges (NEASC).
