As the part of the Foothill-De Anza Community College District, Foothill College is a community college, located in Los Altos Hills, California. It was founded on January 15, 1957 by Founding Superintendent and President Dr. Calvin C. Flint.
The main goal of the institution is to help students who attend the college achieve their goals because relevant instruction occurs in an engaging, stimulating, inclusive manner, and appropriate support services are provided. Foothill College offers an associate in arts or associate in science degree, certificate programs and Bachelor’s degrees with the partnership with other institutions. The College also offers a large and diverse selection of online classes to thousands of students every quarter and is committed to the success of distance learning students. Thus, students may choose their degree and complete it online.
As for the registration process for online classes, it is the same as that for "traditional" classes. Students must apply for admission, take a placement test, if needed, and then register for classes. There is also no difference between the tuition and fees for online and traditional classes.
The College provides financial aid for its students. It is available in grants, scholarships, student employment and loans.
