As a public University, Florida State University is an internationally recognized teaching and research institution committed to preparing the graduates for the ever-expanding opportunities of a global society.

All students work alongside Nobel laureates, members of the National Academy of Sciences and American Academy of Arts and Sciences, Guggenheim Fellows, Pulitzer Prize recipients, and other globally recognized teachers and researchers. As for students, they are diverse. These are people who come from every county in Florida, all 50 states, and over 128 countries.

Florida State University offers individuals to earn their degrees through both online and on-campus formats. The motto is "online does not mean on your own." The University provides a centralized resource to help every student get the proper information, whenever he/she needs it.

Students have the opportunity to complete a bachelor's or master's degree through FSU from the convenience of their home or from anyplace with a current computer and Internet connection. It is very flexible and convenient way of studying.

At Florida State University they offer degree programs online as alternative access for students who otherwise would not be able to further their education and advance their careers. They know that whether it's face to face or via computers, higher education is about people educating people. They also know that students have different needs, and that’s why they’ve compiled a comprehensive set of questions that they hope will address potential concerns.

Academic and Professional Program Services supports individuals in obtaining their educational and career objectives primarily through online learning at Florida State University. The University serves as a liaison between students, departments and administrative offices to facilitate FSU procedures and policies for the online and non-traditional student. It also makes academic credit classes, degree and certificate programs, and professional workshops available to local part-time students and, by contract, to outside organizations.

I am so glad I chose the Master's in Adult Education/Human Resource Development distance learning program at Florida State University. The faculty, curriculum, and overall experience far exceeded my expectations for an online program. I knew my studies would be academically rigorous and personally challenging because of the reputation of FSU, however, I was pleasantly surprised at how relevant and applicable the coursework has been to my professional practice!
As a direct result of earning this degree, I was promoted from Coordinator to Director of Corporate Training at Pasco-Hernando Community College, where I've worked in continuing education for the past 12 years. Not only did my knowledge and skills in human resource development and training improve over the two years I was in the program, but my confidence also grew. I learned how to better negotiate training agreements, conduct needs assessments, and perform effective program evaluations, all of which led to increased revenue in my department and greater internal visibility and acknowledgement for me.
The other delightful surprise was how interactive the classes were and how well I got to know the faculty and other students in the program. We had many opportunities to work in teams and share personal knowledge and experiences. I'd expected a more isolated learning experience, but it really was a group effort. The skills and knowledge I gained are certainly valuable, but I will always treasure the friendships and personal growth I experienced in this outstanding program.

When I decided to pursue a master's degree in human resource development I already had a successful full-time career which I wanted to continue. FSU's HRD program made it possible to keep my position as a corporate executive while achieving my dream of higher education at a top graduate school.
My favorite part of the program is the distance learning option that allows me to earn a graduate degree fully online. Now I have the flexibility to earn while learning even though I frequently travel for business. The program is already helping me to prepare for a future career as a business performance consultant. I can apply the latest research that I we learn in our "virtual discussion boards" right away to enhance my career - today. Some of my program cohorts are living half-way around the world.
No commuting, more time for life, and a global education…this is the way that all graduate schools should be!
FSU's HRD master's program helps you to have it all.

I have attended three different graduate schools during the past four years while at the same time pursuing my dream to become a successful college and professional basketball coach. I wanted to attend a graduate program that would fit my demanding travel schedule as well as increase the skills that I would have to offer to any college or professional organization. I am half way through the FSU Human Resource Development online master's degree program.
The HRD program is very demanding, more so than the traditional classroom courses that I have previously completed. The courses are well organized and the online faculty and administrative staff very helpful. This educational experience is allowing me to learn more about how adult learning and performance improvement make good organizations even better!
