Since November 5, 2007 Florida Metropolitan University Online is named as Everest University Online. It offer the same great instructors, staff and classes – just with a nationally recognized name.
Florida Metropolitan (Everest) University Online learning started in the winter quarter of 1999 and five courses were offered on two campuses. It is possible to complete all the courses necessary to receive degrees online; Master's programs are also included.
The courses are built and maintained on the eCollege platform, which is media intensive and has highly effective pedagogical and course authoring tools. All instructors involved should complete an intensive teacher-training course, on which they are prepared to teach and/or create a course following specific course construction guidelines.
Florida Metropolitan (Everest) University Online is an ideal choice for adult students. The students who study here are mostly paying their own way and have concurrently managed careers, family, and personal lives. Accreditation
Florida Metropolitan (Everest) University Online is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools.
In order to provide government-sponsored financial aid for the US students, each Corinthian College, Inc. school must be, and is, accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Once accredited, U.S. schools are subject to ongoing monitoring. The accreditation agencies visit each of the schools and systematic internal review and reporting is made which leads up to re-accreditation every three to five years.
Licensure, Approvals, and Memberships
The University is a nonsectarian, coeducational institution which is authorized to award associate, bachelor, master degrees and diplomas. The University is licensed by the Florida Commission for Independent Education.
Undergraduate and graduate programs are approved by the Bureau of Immigration and Naturalization and by the Florida State Approving Agency for Veterans Training.
