The Eastern Iowa Community College District consists of Clinton, Jackson, Muscatine and Scott Counties, and parts of Cedar and Louisa Counties. The district stretches along the Iowa side of the Mississippi River with Clinton Community College to the north, Muscatine Community College to the south, and Scott Community College in Bettendorf in the middle.
EICCD is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. This accreditation means the programs meet or exceed the standards for academic excellence set for every public and private college in a 19-state region. The colleges are approved by the Iowa Department of Education and the Board of Regents. Individual programs are accredited by associations within their respective fields.
Any person can enroll the establishment as EICCD endorses the principle of equal educational opportunities for all people regardless of race, color, creed, marital status, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, religion, ancestry, age, or non-job related handicap or disability in the educational programs or activities it operates.
Clinton, Muscatine and Scott Community Colleges are providing the fuel for thousands of students every year. Our tuition is the lowest in the state of Iowa. It is hundreds of dollars less than the state universities and thousands less than the private colleges. Besides, the college foundations work hard to provide a number of scholarship opportunities for the students. The foundations look at a variety of different criteria in selecting recipients, so everyone is encouraged to attend. The financial aid departments can sit down with students to help them determine what state and grants and loans they might be available for.
Taking the online classes, students might be working with one of the instructors or with an instructor at one of the other participating community colleges. Regardless of where that instructor is, students earn their college credits through Clinton, Muscatine or Scott Community College (whichever one you choose) and have full access to all of the services that the College offers.
It allows students to take all of their classes online, or combine them with the traditional classroom-based sessions at one of our colleges.
