The forerunner of Central Christian College - Orleans Seminary - was founded on the Nebraska plains in 1884 by Free Methodist preacher Rev. C.M. Damon and his wife.

This College is located on an attractive campus in a residential area in the south part of McPherson, Kansas. Among the entertaining activities of McPherson there are the following: tennis and racquetball courts, several parks, a YMCA, a large water park, and a tournament-quality golf course. There are also lots of fine businesses in the downtown area, a hospital, clinics, a selection of offices for dental, medical, chiropractic, and optometric care, as well as other services. Besides there are more than 35 churches in the area.
