Certificate Program in Professional Fiduciary Management
Professional fiduciaries should be entrusted with the management of property, finances and care of individuals who are incapacitated. Obtaining the proper education and training is especially important. The California State University – Fullerton offers the Certificates in Professional Fiduciary Management for Conservators and Trustees for this purpose. Upon completion of the Certificates a student will have a comprehensive understanding of the standards and practices, legal and ethical considerations of professional fiduciary management. Areas of focus include the prudent use and protection of protected assets of a person, advance health directives, accounting and recordkeeping, management of assets as well as execution or administration of a will, and/or management of a trust.
The Certificate in Professional Fiduciary Management for Conservators includes four required classes totaling 54 hours consisting of 5.4 Continuing Education Units.
The Certificate in Professional Fiduciary Management for Trustees includes five required classes totaling 63 hours consisting of 6.3 Continuing Education Units.
