Founded in 1956, Baptist Missionary Association Theological Seminary has been growing since in students, faculty, financial support, and outreach ministry to preachers, lay workers and churches of the Baptist Missionary Association of America and other Christian groups. The BMA Seminary campus is a home for a diverse student community varying in ages, genders, backgrounds and nationalities. One thing which unites all the students at the BMA Seminary is the desire to proclaim Christ through their service and life.
Academics
The Seminary offers a number of degrees and certificates, namely: Master of Divinity, Master of Arts in Religion, Master of Arts in Church Ministries, Bachelor of Arts in Religion, Associate of Divinity, Diploma and Certificate studies.
Apart from the on-campus studying, the BMA Seminary offers distant learning opportunities, which allow students to get their degree without the necessity of driving long distances. The undergraduate online courses are offered in Adobe .pdf format that students can download and complete at home. BMA Theological Seminary is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award the Associate of Divinity, Bachelor of Arts in Religion, Master of Arts in Religion, and Master of Divinity degrees. Moreover, Baptist Missionary Association Theological Seminary is an associate member of the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada, a member of the Council of Southwestern Theological Schools, and an associate institutional member of the American Theological Library Association.
