Founded in 1972, the Baltimore International College educates more than 800 students annually. Today it is an international, not-for-profit college having two campus locations: Baltimore, Maryland is the US campus and Virginia Park, Ireland is the international campus location.
Both campuses have such facilities as golf courses, the pleasure gardens, self-catering cottages, classrooms and cooking labs. Moreover, College's Baltimore campus includes the Culinary Arts Center, a bookstore, computer lab, student union, hotel, inn, restaurant, student housing, and the Learning Resource Center which includes a library, computer lab, and a gallery of edible art.
Academics
Baltimore International College offers baccalaureate, associate and master’s degree in the areas of Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management. The degrees are offered through BIC three schools:
• School of Graduate Studies
• School of Culinary Arts
• School of Hotel Restaurant and Catering Management
There is a Master of Science in Hospitality Management is the degree program offered completely online. The program is developed for busy working professionals who wish to obtain higher education without stopping their current work.
Classes are held in the spring, summer, and fall and there are also evening classes. Prospective students can apply either online or through mail printing a paper application form.
Accreditation
BIC is accredited by the Commission on Higher Education of the Middle States Association, approved by the Maryland Higher Education Commission, and programmatically accredited by the American Culinary Federation.
