Arapahoe Junior College was founded in 1965 and has grown into a Community College serving over 20,000 credit and non-credit students annually. The College has two campus locations with the main campus situated in Littleton, Colorado and an additional campus located in Douglas County, Colorado.

Arapahoe Community College (ACC) is an open-door admissions institution of higher education. The college admits all applicants who has a high school diploma, General Education Development (GED) certificate or high-school non-graduates who are 17 years of age or older.

Academics
The ACC academic divisions include 4 schools:
•    School of Arts, Design, Social and Behavioral Sciences
•    School of Liberal Arts and Professional Programs
•    School of Health, Sciences, and Engineering
•    School of Math, Business and Technology

The College offers Certificates, Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, Associate of General Studies and Associate of Applied Science degrees in a variety of fields. The most popular majors include Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, Nursing, Medical Office, Political Science, Engineering, Education and others.

In addition to traditional classes, students can take online, hybrid, and fast-track classes to obtain degrees and complete certificates in a convenient for them time and place. Moreover, the ACC offers opportunities for lifelong learners including non-credit classes, continuing education for professionals, customized training for corporate clients and specialized programs for seniors. Students at ACC are helped to prepare for transfer to four-year universities, for careers and advancement, and to fulfill personal goals.
