Know as App State, ASU or App, Appalachian State University is comprehensive public institution of higher education located in Boone, North Carolina. The University is a part of the North Carolina system.
App’s is comprised of the following six academic divisions: College of Arts and Sciences, College of Fine and Applied Arts, Mariam Cannon Hayes School of Music, Reich College of Education, Walker College of Business, and Cratis D. Williams Graduate School. Moreover, App State houses 11 academic centers/institutes.
Through its Office of Extension and Distance Education Appalachian State University offers a variety of off-campus programs to meet the needs of working professionals and a diverse population of undergraduate and graduate students. ASU currently offers four online programs:

• Master of Arts in Educational Media: Instructional Technology Specialist/New Media and Global Education
