Since 1981 Algonquin Careers Academy has been providing career training by offering vocational diploma programs in Ottawa and Toronto. Industry professionals, helping students excel in their career, impart the focused career training through small sized classes and personalized attention. Apart from classroom lessons, Algonquin help their students get real life work experience through non-remunerative co-op work placements with real employers with whom the college is tied up.
Algonquin provides regular, online and correspondence courses to enable students learn at their own pace. Learners are offered a variety of programs: Accounting and Payroll, Fitness and Health Promotion, Medical Lab Assistant, Medical Office Assistant, Paralegal, Personal Support Worker, Pharmacy Technician,Travel Counselor.
Students have the opportunity to apply the knowledge gained, develop the confidence required to stay ahead in the chosen career and find suitable placements.
