DSpace, Massachusetts Institute of Technology

The DSpace is freely available to all research institutions around the world. This system was developed by MIT Libraries and Helmett – Packard (HP), and nowadays it serves world - wide as an open source system, which can possibly be customized and extended.

Digital Library Production Service, University of Michigan
The Digital Library Production Service was established in 1996. Its main aim is to provide infrastructure for campus digital library collections, in which access systems, as well as digitization services may be referred. This Library is also responsible for the Digital Library eXtenstion Service, as well as for host services of other academic insitutions and non – profit organizations. The Digital Library Production Service is considered to be a part of the University Library, and a unit of its Library Information Technology Division.
