| QAA is an independent body funded by contributions from universities and colleges of higher education, and through various contracts with the higher education funding bodies. All higher education institutions are responsible for providing appropriate standards and a good quality of the offered education. The main goal of the QAA is to safeguard the public interest in sound standards of higher education qualifications, to encourage and promote continuous improvement in the management of the quality of higher education. QAA reviews standards and quality, defines clear and explicit standards of the higher education, provides information to applicants on the application and, the scrutiny process that is used to assess applications, provides confidential advice on applications to the Privy Council. |
