| Latin 101: Beginning Latin Course Overview: The goal of this course is the development of a basic understanding of the Latin language and the history of the ancient Romans. Goals for the Student: 1. The student will learn to read and write simple Latin sentences. 2. Through the study of a real Roman family who lived in Pompeii, the student will learn the culture and history of the ancient Romans. 3. Additional paradigms in grammar and construction will be added to the text; the student will be able to enjoy, read, pronounce and parse simple Latin sentences. 4.
