So you've decided to start learning about diabetes. Or to learn more about it. But first things first. You may know a few things about diabetes already. You may also have some misconceptions. A good way to plan your course is to think about your own diabetes. The series of classes in, "Your Diabetes: Planning Your Course" is a starting point for you to begin a personal course of study. The classes will help you figure out what you already know, and what you need to know. The classes in the series include: * Assessing Your Diabetes Beliefs * Assessing Your Diabetes Actions * Assessing Your Diabetes Knowledge Each class will take you only about 15 minutes to complete. We suggest you take the other classes in this self-management series as well. Part 1, An Overview of Diabetes Part 1, An Overview of Diabetes is the first of a two part class. This class reviews how the body uses glucose if you don't have diabetes, the differences between type 1 and type 2 diabetes, and why treating diabetes is important.
